A number of friends and readers have asked me about the art materials and other equipment I use in creating the artwork that appears in my articles and where they can purchase their own. To make it easier for everyone to obtain these items (particularly those of you who may not have a fully stocked art supply shop in your own community) I've entered into associate partnership with Amazon.com.
Beginning today, I will identify all supplies, materials, and equipment I mention in my articles that are available through Amazon.com and other Amazon Associates and list them here for your convenience. Furthermore, to assure a pleasant and enjoyable experience for you and others, I will only list items that I have extensive (i.e., years of) experience with, and have found to be both reliable and (unless otherwise noted) archival and lightfast.
I would also like to encourage everyone who obtains supplies through my links to please leave feedback comment below and to share your own experience with the medium, material, or technique. (Who knows, your comments and suggestions could very well inspire one of my future articles!)
Don't see what you need? Not a problem. You can now use the quick and convenient window below to search all Amazon departments and affiliates for just what you're looking for.
I do not see a window for searching
ReplyDeleteHi Julie,
DeleteYou should be able to see two rectangles just above the comment area. The lower/smaller one should have a gray bar at the top with the words "Search Amazon....", an open window (for you to type in the item you wish to search for), and a "Go" button.
If you still don't see it on your screen please let me know and I'll check with the tech folks to see what the issue is.
Thanks for visiting my shop (and I hope you find just what you're looking for).
Very best wishes,
Earnest
No, I have no windows - fyi I use Firefox
DeleteJulie, I'm so sorry to hear that you're experiencing this problem. Unfortunately, I'm a complete nubie at this widget thing and this involves technical issues that are well beyond my pay grade (or would be IF I had a pay grade for blogging ;-D). I don't think the fact that you're using Firefox should have any bearing on the matter, but I'll try to get some feedback from Blogger.

ReplyDeleteI do not see any search windows either. I used the Google Chrome browser most of the time. I suspect your widget is optimized for Internet Explorer.
ReplyDeleteHi Nightshadow,
DeleteI can't address the Internet Explorer question as I never use that browser. I generally use Safari without trouble. But I did open my site on Chrome just now and had no difficulty navigating to the Amazon search window on my "Art Supplies & Provisions Online" page. (FYI, the search window appears in the first line of the box just beneath the paragraph which begins, "Don't see what you need?")
I hope that helps.
